2001 Ride Attendance and Facts
2001 Ride Attendance over 90,000 Motorcycles Participated!!
The motorcycles stretched for over 51 miles in length.
When the first motorcycle began passing
through a town, it was well over an hour of constant motorcycles before the last one
passed through.
At many points of the ride it is common for a
rider to see motorcycles as far as he/she can see in front of them
and behind them at the same time.
(Riders - we do not recommend that you turn around
while riding)
2002 Ride
Attendance was over 95,000 Motorcycles even with the "liquid
sunshine" cleaning the roads before us
2003 Ride
Attendance was over 150,000 Motorcycles. Amazing after
being at McFarland for about 15 minutes we were told the
last bike had just crossed I-65 in Athens.
2004 Ride
Attendance was over 120,000 Motorcycles again
this year. Amazing considering that Hurricane Ivan
passed through the center of the state of Alabama and on
into Chattanooga TN and North Carolina two days before the
ride, creating some confusing press releases about the ride in it's path.
We were able to obtain support from our riders and all the
area Cities and Counties along our route to assist in making this once again
one of the safest and largest organized motorcycle rides in
the world.
2005 Ride Attendance was huge !
Ride Attendance was over 150,000 Motorcycles with
approximately 200,000, or more at the end of the ride. The best method of determining the size of this ride is to
take part in the ride, because it is BIG. When you are in
the middle of the festivities you can see why it is "the
largest organized motorcycle ride in the world."
The trip to Okmulgee, Ok grew from 175 bikes at departure to
close to 300 bikes on arrival in OK. A warm welcome ensued
and made this the best year to date for the OK trip.
